Q - What is Question of the Week?
A - Question of the Week is a self-assessment activity and educational tool designed to help physicians evaluate their knowledge about a particular topic. The assessment uses a case study, journal abstract, commentary, and multiple-choice question format based on information from recent medical literature.
Q - How long will it take to complete Question of the Week?
A - The actual time to complete Question of the Week is dependent on the individual user. Question of the Week is not a timed assessment, so you can take as much time as you like. You can also stop at any point in the activity and save your progress; you can then resume the activity at a later time. Estimated average time required for each question is 30 minutes.
Q - How much MOC credit can I earn for Question of the Week?
A - Ten (10) Part 2 MOC credits will be awarded for every twenty (20) correctly answered questions. Credit is applied to the MOC cycle in which you answer the 20th correct question. There is no maximum number of Part 2 MOC points that can be earned from Question of the Week in a five year MOC cycle.
Q - Is CME credit provided for Question of the Week?
A - Yes. Learners are required to correctly answer twenty (20) questions. All questions must be answered correctly on the first attempt. Learners who provide the correct answer are considered to have met the educational purpose and objective of this activity. Once a minimum of all 20 questions are complete, learners will be eligible for a maximum of 10.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Upon completion of the activity participants can visit the My Info page and follow the prompts to print their CME certificate.
Q - Is there a restriction on how long I can participate once started?
A - You must be enrolled in an active MOC cycle to continue to participate.
Q - Do I have to complete Question of the Week in one sitting?
A - No. You may exit the activity at any time by clicking "Exit" at the top of the screen. To continue with the activity at a later time, click on Question of the Week from the "My Recent Self-Assessments" list.
Q - Do I have to answer the Question of the Week within the week of its posting?
A - No. You may choose to answer Question of the Week up to three years from the release date of the question. You can access previously released questions via the "Incomplete" tab from the Question of the Week home page.
Q - May I answer the same Question of the Week I answered previously for credit?
A - No. Questions may only be answered once for credit. You can review previously answered questions via the "Completed" tab on the Question of the Week home page.
Q - Where can I see a list of my incomplete questions?
A - Click on the "Incomplete" tab from the Question of the Week homepage.
Q - How can I return to a question I have already started?
A - Click on Question of the Week from the "My Recent Self-Assessments" list. Click on the "Incomplete" tab to view incomplete questions and select the question you would like to answer.
Q - If I skipped a question, how can I find the question?
A - Click on Question of the Week from the "My Recent Self-Assessments” list. Click on the "Incomplete" tab to view incomplete questions and select the question you would like to answer.
Q - How do I unsubscribe from Question of the Week e-mail?
A - To unsubscribe from the Question of the Week e-mail, click the unsubscribe link within the e-mail, or from your user profile from the Question of the Week home page. Unsubscribing will remove your name from the e-mail distribution; however, you will continue to be enrolled in the activity.
Q - If I unsubscribe from the Question of the Week e-mail, can I still participate in the activity?
A - Yes. Unsubscribing will remove your name from the e-mail distribution; however, you will continue to be enrolled in the activity. You can log into your ABP Portfolio and resume the activity at any time.
Q - How long are questions available in the archive?
A - All previously released questions are available for up to three years from the time they are released.
Q - What is an archived question?
A - Questions remain available to answer for 3 years from the release date before they are archived. Archived questions cannot be answered for credit, however, you may review their content. To earn credit for QOW, you must select a question you have not answered previously and is not archived.
Q - Where can I view my number of correct responses to date?
A - You can view the number of correct responses you have submitted to date via "MY STATS" on the Question of the Week home page.
Q - When can I post a comment and view posted comments?
A - You can post a comment and view posted comments only for a question you have committed your final answer.
Q - What are the settings for optimal viewing of Question of the Week?
A - This activity is best viewed on a desktop or laptop device, with Internet Explorer 8.0 and above, Chrome 5+, Firefox 4+, or Safari 4+ and with the monitor display set at a minimum of 800 x 600 pixels.
Q - How do I change my password or e-mail address?
A - If you log in to this system through your board's Web site, you must follow your Board's protocols to change your password or email address.
Q - How do I prevent the Question of the Week e-mail from going to my Spam folder?
A - To ensure that you keep receiving your Question of the Week email, please add "qow@mocphysicianselfassessment.org" to your contact list.
Q - If I change my e-mail address in my ABP Portfolio, will I continue to receive the weekly Question of the Week e-mail?
A - No. If you are participating in Question of the Week (QOW), you will need to log into QOW in order for your address change to be updated in the QOW platform (https://www.abp.org/moc/qow) after you change your e-mail address in your ABP Portfolio.
